2026 Sask DLC Graduation
Each year, Sask DLC celebrates student achievements with an in-person graduation ceremony. The 2026 ceremony will be held on
June 12 at 1:00 p.m., and you’re invited to take part or explore the additional graduation options listed below. We’re proud of you, Class of 2026, and look forward to making this a memorable celebration.
Graduation attendee options
Option 1
Attend a graduation ceremony, in-person, at one of our campuses (Estevan,
La Ronge, Melfort, Prince Albert, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current or Yorkton)
These ceremonies will be held on June 12 at 1:00 p.m. There will be a short program and students will formally receive their graduation certificate.
Option 2
Join virtually from home, where you'll be formally recognized by having your name announced during the grad ceremony. Your graduation certificate will be mailed to you.
Option 3
Attend your local school's graduation by registering with them directly.
Option 4
Not attend any formal ceremony.
Please note that attendance at the ceremony is based on fulfilling the credit requirements for graduation, 24 credits for grade 12 students and 7 credits for adult 12 students. Eligibility for graduation will be determined later in the spring.
Frequently Asked Questions
An email requesting you to register was sent November 24, 2025 to all parents and students that are on track to graduate. If you have not received this email, please contact your Academic Advisor or email helpdesk@saskDLC.ca to ask for the registration link.
Once you complete the registration form, you will be added to the Graduation 2026 course (in January 2026). At that time, the course will appear on your DLCgo dashboard.
We have not set a limit for people that can attend the grad ceremony. We welcome you to bring your friends and family. We do ask that you let us know how many people are coming so we can have the chairs setup and ready for your special day. Graduates will be asked to confirm their number of guests by mid-May.
No, you don’t have to dress up. You’re welcome to wear whatever you feel comfortable in. If you’d like to dress up, you absolutely can, but it’s completely up to you.
Bathrooms will be available at all Sask DLC graduation locations, or if you’d prefer to come dressed in your grad attire, your welcome to.
Bring a camera/phone to capture the memories of your graduation day. Sask DLC will take care of all the other details
You do not need to bring an escort, but you are welcome to, if you choose.
The ceremony will start at 1:00 p.m. sharp so if you’d like to familiarize yourself with the location and have your family take a few pictures, please give yourself enough time to do this. Doors will open at 12:00 p.m.
A Sask DLC teacher will be available to take a picture of the graduate in their grad outfit and in their cap and gown; however, if you'd like family photos or more formal pictures these can be taken after the graduation ceremony by a family member or you are welcome to bring a photographer. These photos will be uploaded to the graduation course the week following the graduation.
Yes, Sask DLC will have a selection of caps and gowns available for students to take photos with before and after the ceremony.
Grads are able to purchase grad merchandise! Feel free to visit https://saskdlc.entripyshops.com/ to customize your Sask DLC merchandise! All orders will be shipped directly to you. Ordering is completely optional and there is no minimum purchase required.
Yes. You will be invited to complete a Valedictorian application form and record a 1 minute video telling us about your Sask DLC experience/story to showcase your public speaking skills and then submit the application and video to us. There is a Sask DLC committee that will review all the applications and reach out to the student that's been choose as the Valedictorian.
A valedictorian is a person who leads their fellow graduates academically. Other points to consider for Valedictorian include:
involvement in school and community leadership
having a good understanding of the journey of high school and how that relates to what the future grads are about to embark upon
being a person who can articulate a positive message as they reflect on the recent past and the near future.
Valedictorian will compose and deliver the valedictory address on behalf of graduating students. This address will be pre-recorded and shared at each campus grad. Additionally the valedictorian may choose to deliver their speech live at their specific grad location.
A Salutatorian may be chosen in addition to a Valedictorian. The Salutatorian will do an official welcome to the graduates and guests at the graduation ceremony.
The Salutatorian will be chosen from the list of Valedictorian candidates with less emphasis on the academic performance of the student.
